The home-grown fast-food chain Pickl goes with the credo ‘simple, not basic’ burgers. So are the interiors of their restaurants - ‘simple, not basic.’ And that's where Havelock One entered the scene.

Pickl isn’t Dubai’s first burger brand, and it won’t be its last either. However, it’s one to return to over and over again for burgers, fried chicken sandwiches and its namesake pickles! After having executed the Motor City branch in just over two months, our UAEfit-out team also returned to Pickle, working on two additional locations in Mamsha Al Saadiyat and WTC Abu Dhabi, implementing the designs of YamJam Creative.
The 1550 sq ft. F&B outlet in Dubai Motor City features a dining room and theatre kitchen, built using a mild steel frame in addition to glass and timber cladding. The dining area’s flooring has a broadcasted concrete finish, the base build walls are white-washed/sealed and the open ceiling is all painted out grey. While the theatre kitchen and back of house are covered with vinyl, the walls are fully tiled, floor to ceiling, and the ceilings themselves consist of a grid system.
The first restaurant in Abu Dhabi at Mamsha Al Saadiyat is twice as big, 3230 sq ft. to be precise. The concept is identical: a combination of a dining room and theatre kitchen as well as a general back of house area. This time, though, the project is located within a residential development, which required adherence to noise restrictions and specific work hours to not disturb the community. Given our prior experience with the Pickl brand, the process was smooth, and we delivered another job within 70 days to the satisfaction of the client.
