Stars N Bars at La Mer celebrates food, drinks, sports and live music in a unique California-inspired setting. Given the atmosphere of the development: the shores of the Arabian Gulf, the city’s skyline as a backdrop, in between palm trees, sand and minimalist low-rise structures; it didn’t take much to bring a beach concept to life. Still, one can tell how much the project’s owner loves the little, refined details: a restored 1960’s Volkswagen van food truck greets the customer, and all the materials – from chequered tiles, printed fabric to leather seats – ooze the spirit of Californication.
So, how did we make a difference in this already perfect set-up? Besides delivering our usual dedicated work? We were adaptive to last minute changes in the AC ducting, and even took on the responsibility to design as the original MEP consultant was released.
