The Adliya branch of Slider Station was shortlisted at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2018 in the Middle East & Africa Restaurant category.
A free-standing 3-storey building in Adliya, Manama is home to the Bahrain branch of Slider Station. The client wanted the exterior envelope as well as the interiors to look like a bespoke industrial complex made of rusted metal and concrete. Therefore, almost every element of this project was tailor-made at the Havelock One factory in Askar.
From the chandelier in the centre atrium, to the railing, to the maze of pipe work in the ceiling featuring a lighting system – everything was meant to appear like a well-aged giant piece of artwork. Usually, our team is looking for perfection when producing high-end finishes. In this case, perfection was in the thoughtfully arranged old materials and well-placed cracks, creating the impression of an authentic, run-down car workshop. Implementing the turnkey fit-out for Slider Station clearly challenged and expanded our imagination.
